However, you can choose to forget this guideline when donating electrical and electronic equipment or bicycles – we also accept these as broken or as parts.

When you enter your postal code, the service will find the nearest store that accepts, for example, large furniture, large appliances or bicycles.
Below you can see what kind of goods you can donate to which store, by product category. We accept the majority of product categories in every store.
Donated furniture, clothing and small household items must be intact, clean and reusable. However, you can also bring items to us if you are worried about their condition. We are Finland’s most versatile secondhand retailer and quite capable of finding new life for all kinds of products.
The employees of our donation service points – the salvagers – are professionals in assessing the reusability of goods. If we can’t accept the goods, we will advise you on a more suitable disposal site.
Items that are in poor condition and clearly unsuitable for reuse should be delivered to HSY’s Sortti station. You can order a Pick-up service from HSY or take your goods by carpool, for example. For more information on Sortti stations, see the HSY website. Please note that HSY’s collection bins for discarded textiles can no longer be found at Kierrätyskeskus.
Safety equipment: Please do not bring in any safety equipment (e.g. car seats, safety harnesses, hard hats or helmets), as we are not allowed to pass these on due to safety reasons. One exception to this are ice hockey helmets.
Particular renovation supplies: as for renovation and construction supplies, we cannot accept paints, chemicals or tiles, large construction products and fixed furniture, such as cupboard frames, ceramic sinks, toilet seats and bathtubs.
We also cannot accept pianos, car tyres or any food items.
Furniture and other items that are to be disposed of belong primarily to HSY’s Sortti stations. However, when the sorting stations are closed, we accept individual pieces of furniture for a waste management fee:
If you have a lot of stuff, don’t worry – a pick-up service will help!
