Loyalty member benefits

Read Kierrätyskeskus’ loyalty member terms and conditions and sign up as a loyalty member using the online form. As a loyalty member, you will receive a weekly newsletter in your email full of current sustainable lifestyle news (in Finnish).

Your loyalty card is a smart device widget, which will grant you at least a 5 % discount on most of your in-store purchases! The plastic loyalty card and the Cardu app are still in use for the time being for those who signed up as loyalty members before the digital card was introduced in March 2026. Kierrätyskeskus’ loyalty membership is free of charge.

Sign up as Kierrätyskeskus’ loyalty member using the button below. By joining, you will receive a digital loyalty card that works on your smart device, such as a phone or tablet. You can sign up as a loyal customer on a computer, but you will need a smart device to present your loyalty card at the store.

How do I become Kierrätyskeskus’ loyalty member?

Here’s how you become Kierrätyskeskus’ loyalty member and get access to a digital loyalty card with a QR code!

  1. Read the loyalty member terms and conditions.
  2. Go to kantis.kierratyskeskus.fi on your smart device
  3. Register, i.e. come up with a username and password. You may need them later, so remember them or save them somewhere safe. If you already are a loyalty member and just want to switch from your plastic card or Cardu app to a new digital loyalty card, use the same email address you used to register as a loyalty member for the first time. Tip: the email address you used is the one you receive our newsletter to every Friday!
  4. Go to your email account to confirm your email address. The sender is Pääkaupunkiseudun Kierrätyskeskus Oy. If you can’t find the email, check your spam folder!
  5. Once you have confirmed your email address, your browser will automatically redirect you back to the loyalty member form.
  6. Fill in your details, accept the t&c and privacy policy and tap “Create membership”.
  7. Your QR code has been created and your new loyalty card is ready to use 💚
  • If you replaced your plastic card with a digital card, cut your plastic card in half and put it in the mixed waste bin.

Information for students

Student members get 15 % off of most of their in-store purchases

Read Kierrätyskeskus’ loyalty member terms and conditions and sign up as a loyalty member using the online form. When shopping at our stores, make sure you have a valid student ID with you.

The student discount is granted if the student meets the following conditions:
– The student is 18 years old or older.
– You are studying full-time in Finland at a university, higher education institution, university of applied sciences, vocational school or upper secondary school for an undergraduate degree.
– Your studies last at least 8 consecutive months
– You receive no daily allowance or salary for your studies

No student discount is granted:
– For postgraduate students or graduates of universities and higher education institutions
– For apprentices
– For those in compulsory education
– For students studying at a community college
– For students studying abroad
– For evening and multi-study students, if less than 60 % of their studies are taught face-to-face

How and where can I become a loyalty member?
You can sign up as a loyalty member using the online form.

Can I become a loyalty customer in-store?
Becoming a loyalty member takes about 5 minutes and you can do it anywhere and on any smart device, such as a smartphone or tablet. You will receive your digital loyalty card immediately.

Where can I find my customer number?
The customer number can be found in the loyalty card widget once you have signed up. If you have a plastic card or the Cardu app, you can find your customer number in the email you received when you registered as a loyalty member.

I’m under 18 years old, can I become a loyalty member?

Unfortunately no, as our t&c require you to be over 18. However, you can become a loyalty member first thing on your 18th birthday – can’t imagine a better way to celebrate 😉

Where can I pick up my loyalty card?
You don’t need to pick up your loyalty card from anywhere, because it’s right there on your very own smart device!

I can’t pick up my card, can it be posted to me?
We don’t post loyalty cards.

Can I use Cardu even if I also have a plastic card?

A loyalty member can only carry one form of loyalty card. If you want to stop using the plastic card, you can switch to Kierrätyskeskus’ new loyalty member widget. You can find the instructions for signing up above. You can cut your plastic card in half and put it in the mixed waste bin, or delete out loyalty card in the Cardu app.

Can I combine the loyalty discount with another discount in the store?
It is not possible to combine multiple discounts, but the discounted product will always be sold at the highest discount available.

I am a city employee, can I still get a discount as before?
All discounts for different customer groups in Kierrätyskeskus are now bundled under one loyalty member card. So become a loyalty member by filling in the form found on this page!

I used to get a discount with my pensioner card, can I still get it?
All discounts for different customer groups in Kierrätyskeskus are now bundled under one loyalty member card, so you don’t need a separate pensioner card. Become a loyalty member by filling in the form found on this page!

I used to get a discount with a student card, can I still use that to get a discount?
All discounts for different customer groups in Kierrätyskeskus are now bundled under one loyalty member card. Join online and activate your student discount at the customer service desk in any Kierrätyskeskus store. Bring a valid student ID with you.

Issues with Cardu

I can’t find my Kierrätyskeskus card in the Cardu app, what should I do?
If you have joined our loyalty program before 13th March 2026 and selected Cardu as your card option, and entered the phone number you use for Cardu when registering, your card should automatically appear in your Cardu app wallet. If you still cannot find your card, please contact Cardu customer service.

My Cardu app does not work

I chose Cardu, but I would still like a plastic card
It is not possible to exchange your Cardu for a plastic card. However, if you wish, you can exchange your Cardu card for Kierrätyskeskus’ loyalty widget. Instructions above!

Can I block the ads sent by Cardu?
The notifications in the Cardu app are card-specific and can be turned off in the card settings. You can also turn off app notifications in your phone’s settings (depending on the model) under Notifications -> App notifications.

Sign up for our new loyalty widget and updating your information will be a breeze! You can also send your new contact information by email to asiakastuki@kierratyskeskus.fi. You can update your email address via the link in the green footer bar of the newsletter.

Terms and conditions

Pääkaupunkiseudun Kierrätyskeskus’ (later Kierrätyskeskus) loyalty membership programme is a programme for environmentally savvy consumers, offering tips on sustainable living and encouraging people to reduce their consumption of natural resources.

We are constantly developing the loyalty membership programme – we want to make eco-friendly lifestyle not only inspiring, but also appealing to our customers. New developments and features of the loyalty membership programme are communicated on the Kierrätyskeskus’s website, in newsletters and other customer communications.

Loyalty membership benefits:

Under the current terms and conditions of the loyalty membership programme, the discount is 5 % / 15 %. The terms of the contract may be amended.

5 % discount on purchases made at Kierrätyskeskus stores. The loyalty member discount does not apply to outlet items, online store items, transport, flowers, gift cards, or workshop products such as serviced electronics, household appliances, bicycles, sharpened skates or Plan B products. An exception to this are The Most Wanted line of products, as well as handicraft supplies, for which the loyalty discount will be granted. The loyalty member discount cannot be combined with other discounts.

Students with a valid student certificate receive a 15 % discount with their Kierrätyskeskus loyalty card. Their student status must be activated at any Kierrätyskeskus store’s customer service.

Saving purchase data

Purchases made with a loyalty card are registered by product category with the aim of improving the selection and marketing of stores. In addition, the customer will receive an indicative estimate of the natural resource savings of their purchases based on the accumulated purchase data.

Becoming a loyalty member

Anyone aged 18 or over living in Finland with a functioning email address can become a loyalty member.

You can become a loyalty member on the Kierrätyskeskus website or at any Kierrätyskeskus store.

Loyalty membership is free of charge. Benefits can be used as soon as the loyalty member card is activated.

All information requested at the time of joining must be correct and up-to-date. Any changes to your name, email, address or phone can be done at any Kierrätyskeskus store or by sending an email to asiakastuki@kierratyskeskus.fi. The personal data of a loyalty member customers are stored in Kierrätyskeskus’s loyalty member register. Please click on the link to read the Kierrätyskeskus Privacy Policy.

Communication on the loyalty membership programme

Loyalty membership marketing is an integral part of the Kierrätyskeskus’s loyalty programme. Marketing related to loyalty membership is mainly done online. If you wish to opt-out from marketing, you can do so by clicking on the link at the bottom of the newsletter.

Changes to the terms and termination of a loyalty membership agreement

Kierrätyskeskus has the right to change the terms and conditions of the loyalty membership agreement. We will endeavour to notify of any significant changes well in advance, at least one (1) month before the changes take effect. Minor changes may come into force without prior notice and will be announced on our website. The changes will also be communicated to our loyalty member customers.

The loyalty member card will expire if it is not used in connection with a purchase for three years (36 months).

Loyalty programme will be renewed in 2026

A new discount rate and plenty of rotating promotions are on the way.

23 January 2026

The Kierrätyskeskus loyalty customer discount rate is changing. Starting from the beginning of March, loyalty customers will receive a 5% discount on purchases included in the loyalty programme. For students, the new discount rate will be 15%. The change is driven by financial reasons, above all a significant decrease in public funding.

The reform will also introduce several loyalty days each year, during which loyalty customers will receive special product‑category‑specific discounts. In other words, even bigger discount bursts are on the way, helping an ever‑growing amount of items find a new life 💚

The loyalty card itself will also be renewed, but we will share more details about this a little later.

The renewal of the Kierrätyskeskus loyalty programme will begin at the turn of the year. The first phase involves changes to the system itself and does not require any action from current loyalty customers.
